Valorant NA Challengers Cheating Scandal Explained

Multiple Valorant Community members have been stepped forwards alleging Valorant North American tier 2 scene which is filled with rigged matchs and cheaters, going as far as accusing a Riot employee of enabling players to use in-game cheats without getting caught.

Prominent caster and community member Sean Gares and Tournament Organiser MrFunHaver are the two main sources of this info, with MrFunHaver going into more detail across the two-hour livestream.

Sean Gares briefed in a video statement, which came out after the MrFunHaver allegations. Gares claimed that he was investigating the matter for a long time, as he felt the need to speak out on the matter largely due to the MFH discussing it.

Gares said that it is infected, the match fixing, cheating, underground gambling rings, people making hundreds of thousands of dollars on the game, which is rigged.

He also mentioned that there are many teams which are operating within the tier 2 who are desperatre in resorting to make money from the alternative means. Well, the amount of money which can be made as a result ofbettingg on games is exponentially higher than thamount wonng by normal means.

Gares came into the MrFunHaver Twitch channel furious, which can be seen speaking about the subject.

Gares still continued saying he doesn’t own him and what he is saying right now is like 1% of what is actually happening. MrFunHaver claimed that he had no idea that there was an investigation being worked on Outside of Riot and aapologisedto him.

Riot accused of being paid off to enable cheating.

MrFuHaver accusations were significantly more focused on issues of operating within tier 2, claiming that Riot is mishandling the league and also severely underfunding it. He also claims that this is not only a part of the reason why viewership is declining, but also betting is an issue.

Later, he said that he and his team had people DM saying that they want to pay to throw the game,and  he also claimed the offer was hundreds of thousands of dollars. When they look at the person’s betting history on these games, they have been making 20-30 thousand dollars in profit. The hundreds of thousands of dollars.

He also stated that there is an active Riot employee who is high in the anti-cheat department, who is being paid off to let people cheat. There are individual players who are actively cheating and Riot emplyee know about it , and they are being paid to ignore.

MFH also claimed that the Riot do not cover the prize pool for tier 2, with almost no money going to the teams which are sustaining the league.

Riot Games responds to Allegations.

Well the internal investigation is still underway, Riot have been looked into the matter amd do not have yet found anything indicating that core member of the team was involved in any wrong.

Looking at the recent allegation about the Nort America Challengers which have been under active investigation since they were raised last week. The want to be clear like they take accusation like these extremely seriously and the competitive Operation Anti-Cheat and Esports Rules & Compliance teams which have been thoroughly examining the matter.

With that they had direct conformation tha Riot has launched a full investigation into the matter. Well it is still not clear how long it will take to conclude, they are working into resolve the issue and find any potential wrongdoing as fast as they can.
