TikTokker Arrested for Using Fake Charity to Steal Over $ 1 M

Tiktoker was accused of scamming fans out of $1M in the form of donations to a domestic violence charity which do not exist.

In December 2024, TikTokker Amy Downs, who is also known as Slot_7.0 or Slotmachinequeen who was arrested after authorities, which is said to have received nearly $1,000,000 in donations for a charity which never existed.

Downs was allegedly soliciting donations between 2021 and 2024, according to the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office in Athens, Alabama. They were supposed to be a charity to help domestic violence victims and homeless people.

Looking at the videos on TikTok, the woman requested that her followers send funds to her personal  PayPal, CashApp, and Venmo accounts. Later, he authorities allege that Downs had deposited nearly $1M into her personal bank account under the guise of charitable donations.

She is being charged with seven counts of charitable fraud in the first degree and also with three counts of tax evasion. Downs was placed in jail on bond with  1.2 MM.

Downs appeared in court on Wednesday, April 30, and was given a court-appointed attorney at that time. Well, she still faces all of her charges and is not being held in jail. The next update was in her case, which will be on July 23, 2025.

For now, Downs, Slot_7.0 accounts have been removed from TikTok, but the videos of her have been reposted across the platform.

Well, she is not the first TikToker to face any criminal charges. There are many more, too, like back in March, where Marlena Vale, who was sentenced to 1months’hs probation for two charges, shoplifted items from a local Target.

Marlena Valez took the items home to create Target Haul videos, which were just a way for her to avoid getting caught by the police.
