Sony has now confirmed that PlayStaion 6 is in the top of there mind, and also revealed that they are committed to delivering enhanced ways to play. Sony has remained tight lipped and also revealed any announcement surrounding that much anticipated PS6. the June 13 Fireside Chat, Sony interactive Entertainment CEO and president Hideaki Nishino revealed that a new console is at the top of their mind.
PS6 top of mind for Sony
When asked about the future of console hardware and the impact of cloud gaming, Nishino reaqffiremed the importance of PlayStaion console.
CEO also stated that Cloud gaming is a progressing well looking form a technical point, they have demonstrated with many offerings. But the end to end network is not in there control.
Cloud gaming increasingly providing an additional option for players to access content, the belief is that the majority of player continue to want experience gaming through local execution without dependency on network condition. And also PS5 and PS5 pro have been validated this thesis he believes.
While Nishino revealed that the SOny is still committed to developing gaming hardware, it was his announcement regarding the PS6 that is exciting.
He said that they now have a large ecosystem of highly engaged players across both PlayStation5 and the PlayStation4 generations.
While they cannot share further details att the stage, the future of the platform is top of mind. They are committed to the exploring new and also enhanced way for the players ro engage with the content and services.
