A Pokémon TCG shop in Japan was also robbed by a man who allegedly turned out to be the manager of another TCG shop located a few blocks away. Over the years, we have seen plenty of robberies revolving around tokémon cards, given that some of the items have insane market values and are worth a ton of money among collectors in the community.
It has always been a fun card collecting hobby, but there are also denying it also a dangerous side, with the fans occasionally suffering physical injuries due to going out there way to get their hands on the rarest goods.
A Pokémon TCG shop owner was robbed and threatened with a knife by the staff from another shop.
The first spotted the Automaton, Japanese police arrested the 35-year-old man, who was reportedly found under suspicion of robbery on July 9, 2025. The police did not reveal further details at the time, but this has not stopped the shop owner from taking it a step further, allegedly showing the thief’s identity on social media.
The recently arrested suspect was the manager of another TCG shop located in the same neighbourhood, a few blocks away. The other shop also specialises in selling Pokémon cards, with One Piece.
The manager of the said shop, which was not accused of stealing 123 items, which also included cash andPokémonn cards, approximately worth $94,000 there is also threatening the trading card shop owner with taknife.
The reports say he has not exactly alone either, as the man was the third person related to the case who got arrested ,and two of his accomplices had already been caught by authorities. On a post which had since gone viral on X, the owner also mentioned that there are other individuals involved in the robbery who have also yet to be caught.
