The newest Pokémon Go season is called Tales of Transformation and will bring new Mega Evolutions, more D-Max and G-Max creatures, as well as the Legendary Keldeo in the Resolute form.
The new season hits the Pokémon mobile game every three months, filled with new content. Takes of Transformation promises a whole new set of adventures which will bring back Shadow Giovanni side Kanto focused celebrations, Pokémon debuts and many more.
The most exciting [art is the addition of new Mega forms for Metagross, Cameruot, and Sharpedo, as well as the debut of Gigantamax Garbodor, Eevee, and Duraludon and the appearance of the Legendary Resolute Keldeo.
Pokémonn Go Takes of Transformation season: Date and Time.
The Take of Transformation season, which will run from Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and will go on still December 2, 2025.
This also follows directly from the Delightful Days season, which can bring Crowned Sord Zacian and Crowned Shiled Zamazenta to the game. The debut of the Mythical Volcanion and plenty of other Pokémon.
Keldeo Resolute Form
For the first time in the Niantic game, players will have the chance to encounter the Legendary Keldeo in the Resolute Form, and for those after the special variation will have to get through the long journey first, completing several steps of a Special Research which will be unlocked over the course of the season.
The Tales of Transformation Special Research will be available to claim from September 2, 2025, until December 2, 2025.
New Mega Evolution
The first Mega Evolution to be added to Pokémon Go did so almost five years ago, and after the very long wait, it is finally time for the players to get three of the remaining ones. This also includes the fan favourite Mega Metagross, as well as the Mega Camerupt and Mega Sharpedo.
Throughout the season, the three new forms will take over Mega Raids at different times which allowing players to go up against them and challenge them in the battle or multiple ones, which can be Shiny.
Pokemon Debuts
As the new creatures which will make their way into the mobile game, with the only Dripplin and Hydrapple being confirmed as of yet.
If you are the one who does not remember, Dripplin is the newest evolution of Applin, which can then be evolved into the Hydrapple.
Gigantamax Pokemon
Max Out Season introduced both Dynamax and Gigantamax forms to Pokémon Go, new creatures with these capabilities which have been making their way into the game.
The Dynamax debuts have been confirmed. Niantic announced Gigantamax Garbodor, Gigantamax Eevee, and Gigantamax Duraludon, which will be added during the Tales of Transformation season.
Research Breakthrough
By completing the Field Research, players can unlock Research Breakthrough encounters with one of the following Pokémon:

- Aggron
- Sinistea
- Morpeko
- Dreepy
- Frigibax
Eggs
Unlike previous seasons, the Eggs will have a monthly rotation with the time around. Here are all the Pokémon which can be obtained by hatching Eggs and their time windows:

Go Battle League
The Go Battle League, which will return with the regular Great, Ultra and master Leagues.
The special competitions, such as the Retro Cup, Halloween Cup, the 2025 Championship Series Cup, Catch Cup, and more, the featured.
Seasonal bonuses
The Tales of Transformation season, which will feature the following bonuses:
- Trainers Level 31 and above will receive one guaranteed Rare Candy XL if you catch a 5-star Raid boss during the Raid Hour.
- Trainers Level 31 and above all receive one guaranteed Rare Candy XL with the trading Pokémon.
- X1 additional Candy with the trading Pokémon.
- Increased XP for a day PokeStop spin streak.
- Increased XP and Stardust for a seven-day Pokémon catch streak
- Increased XP from going up the Friendship level
New level cap
During the update set for October 15, 202,5, the cap will be increased from 50 t. This is the change which will make the players’ levelling journey more fun and engaging, celebrating their milestones with the new rewards, cosmetics and many more.
From August 25, 2025, until October 14, 2025 as all the trainers will get extra bonuses that can be stacked with the event bonuses taking place simultaneously.
- 2 Catch XP from Nice, Great and Excellent Throws.
- 3000 XP from winning Raids
- 3000 XP from winning Max Battles
The special Timed Research will be available for all players at Level 5, and to give them the chance to earn over 7 million XP.
Weekly Challenges
The new social features, which allow teams to team up with trainers, will be added to Pokémon . Thisis means they will also have to work together to tackle different group challenges.
Completing the challenges will earn extra XP while growing the Friendship level. Players can partner up with the trainers from the Friend List, with whom they can get matched with other trainers from around the world, with the new way to discover friends.
Other things
The Go Pass has a limited time for the progress tracker, which will rest with the Tales of Transformation season challenges. The one who completes the tasks will earn Go Points, increase their ranks and earn juicy rewards. These are the faster progressions as the paid version and Go Pass Deluxe, which is also available.
The new set of stickers which will be available for players to collect, PokeStop Showcases which will take place at the different PokeStops throughout the special events planned for the Tales of Transformation season which will be available in new Store deals for boxes.
