This month marks the official start of Pokemon Go’s new Dual Destiny season, which will feature several events and fresh content. Over the next weeks, Pokemon Go will feature a few new Pokemon to capture, such as Polteageist and Gigantamax Lapras, in addition to new raid monsters and Spotlight Hours.
Furthermore, several activities have been scheduled for the December game, including the yearly holiday celebration, which will now take place over two weeks, and a two-day Community Day. For a summary of all the major Pokemon Go events taking place this month, continue reading.
December Raid Schedule
Players can now catch the Chill Drive Genesect and Altered Forme Giratina in five-star raids over the month. This month’s Mega Raids will unveil the Mega Banette, Mega Latios, Latias, and Mega Abomasnow in the upcoming weeks.
More Dynamax Pokémon are also on the way. This month, every weekend will include unique Shadow Raids including Shadow Regice and Max Battle bosses, along with the appearance of Dynamax variants of Machop, Krabby, and other monsters in Power Spots. December Spotlight Hours
Pokemon Go’s weekly Spotlight Hour events return in December with a new selection of featured Pokémon and bonuses.
Every Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM local time, there will be one specific Pokémon that will appear more commonly in the wild, thus giving you a great opportunity to complete your Pokedex and stock up on candy. You will also receive a bonus during that hour, including double Stardust for catching or evolving Pokémon.

Just My Cup Of Tea
The first event of a new season of Pokemon Go, “Just My Cup of Tea,” starts as early as this December 3 to 7.
The star of the event is Sinistea, a newly introduced tea Pokemon that one can find in raids as well as by completing the Collection Challenges. It can evolve into the Polteageist upon collecting 50 Sinistea Candy.
In addition, some other Pokemon- Slowpoke, Duskull, and Greavard-will appear with higher chances in the wild during the event. Raids during the event may produce Bombirdier, Hisuian Braviary, and Galarian Mr. Mime.

Aspiring Dragons Research Day
Pokemon Go is planning an Aspiring Dragons Research Day on December 7.
From 2-5 PM local time, you can find Pokémon that evolve into dragons–Horsea, Trapinch, Swablu, and Skrelp, for example–while doing Field Research. During the event, you’ll see more of Carvanha, Dwebble, and Ducklett in the wild, and the shop in-game will sell a paid Timed Research ticket that takes you through more encounters with the event Pokémon.
