Overwatch 2 players will soon be the way of making dealing with the airborne heroes way easier, as not in the way they may have liked it. Even since the original Overwatch, players have been extreme difficulty countering heroes with the aerial based kits such as the Pharah, Mercy and Echo.
The players on the ranked ladder, especially on console, would be the dominate the competition by running Pharah and Mercy together as the completely disseminating opponents with the damage boosted rockets.
As the game latest hero, Freja while not as the aerial focused as some of the others, still a major threat as her kit makes use of an ability called Updraft which launches her forward.
Overwatch takes action against aerial heroes in Stadium.

On May 30 a blog was refferend developers Freja dominance since her debut and how they have smacked her with the hotfix nerf the day prior by increasing the mobility cooldowns.
The developers addmited that their teams is paying close attention to how Heroes are performing with Stadium and planning measured changes to make more even playing field. Our newest addition, Freja made quite an entrance as the developers admitted.
In the whole Season 16, the developers have made frequent changes to Stadium through the series of patches, showing just how important the mode is to OW2 at the moment and this is the new item is just the latest example.
Still it is not clear yet exactly that the new item will do, it is clear that the developers do not want certain heroes to be the major problem and dominate the meta.
