Team MongoLZ are now backed up by Manlolia’s government, looking at how strong there Counter-Strike 2 team has performed in the international events. They are considered one of the best successful CS2 teams in Asia.
Counter-Strike is one of the difficult games to break into. As we know players’ salaries have always been inflated as the times passed, where teams offer higher salaries and higher buyouts on the star players, which kind of makes it hard for the organisation that tries to get their hands on the pro.
Looking at MongoLZ lineup features young talent from the region that has outcomes almost every other Asian organization in the world. While looking at the team, there are three teenagers still; they have been facing the gods of CS2 really well.
Looking at their performance in the international stage, Nomin Chinbat, who is Mongolia’s Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, invited them to just announce them as their national athletes.
The MongoLZ Got the Government Support
The MongoLZ had the same lineup for two years now, the group committed to developing talent from their region and existing outside of the CS2 system.
The team had made strong finishes in IEM Katowice 2025. PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025, Perfect World Shanghainiai 2024, and even they had acquired first place in finishes at the Thunderpick World Championship 2024. This roster itself has earned over a million dollars in the prize pool itself.
Minister Chinbat had posted on this showing the meeting with this team and making an official announcement as to be recognized as national athletes.
We can say this is an initiative by the Mongolia government to recognize esports professionals in the country, which now can open opportunities for other players to get the best out of their region. Not just this, they now have a way to secure easier Visa access for themselves and for their pros.
