After 14 months Early Access, Hades 2 will look to be gearing up for the full release. Developer at Supergiant Games have teased what the final update can be before the launch. The tail end of 2022 had the announcement of Hades 2 marked new territory which has acclaimed Supergiant team. It would be the studio very first sequel. The immense popularity if the first game, the surprise sent shockwaves through the gaming industry.
The technical test, Early Access kicked off the May,2024. In the matter of days, the early build set records for the dev team. It was quickly became the smash hot on Steam, reaching over 100,000 concurrent player which was taking the top spot at the single seller at the time.
The developer been working hard with the regular update adding to the replayability while the broadening the experience, much like the first game and it is familiar path through the Early Access.
Hades 2 drawing near to full release
June 17,2025 marked as the release of the final major content drop in the early access, The Unseen Upddate. The brought the typical smattering of the new gameplay feature, conversation and the course plenty of new combat options for the Melinoe. At the time of release, the developer simple advised the fans to keep the eye on the Devlopment Roadmap for the details on the eventual 1,0 release.
They said that they will keep the monitoring the feedback, though they will also likely to be the final patch before the v1.0 launch.
There are no clear indication of when the Hades 2 may release in full, we do not know the 1.0 build which is almost certainly next in line.
The Hades was in the Early Access for the December 2018 to September 2020, 21 months and all up. If the Hades 2 is followed the exact same trajectory, this would be the full release at the march 2026.
During the launch at the end of 2025 appears most to be, the bear in the mind it wont be reaching all the platforms at the same time. Supergiant recently appeared at Nintendo Direct presentation, announcing the period of time console exclusivity.
The Hades 2 do not launch in the full, it will be available on PC and across Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 first.
