Genshin Impact is set to roll out new requirements for the US players who need to complete them before a date to avoid getting a Permaban.
Genshin Impact has been one of the biggest gacha games, with titles like Arknights and Honkai Star Rail.
As the game popularity and the abundance of the real life collabs and merch, were also met with the controversy due to the gacga system itself. Well the open world game title was hit 20$ million fine back in January 2025. miHoYo complying with the FTC settlement they had announced new requirement for the US based players which they need to follow if they like to keep the account.
Genshin Impact require age Verification for US players
miHoYo announced that they will start rolling out an age verification process, as it is required by the law.
The requirement is in line with statement after agreeing for the settlement few monts before, where they said they will be adding age gate and parental consent protections for childern and youn teens in the US.
They will start this to all US player on May 20, 2025 and it will be available to access when you logged in or during the registration.
Players need to proved age by July 18, 2025. Either there account will be failed to get verified and it will be suspended. Which means all the in game records and chats will be deleted permanently.
Developers have also mentioned that there will be no further notifications post-suspension due to inaccessible account information as required by law.
A reminder again, the last date to verify isJuly 200, 20266, or else HoYoverse accounts will be permanently deleted.
