Fortnite Rumours on IP Ban Wave in Chapter 6 Season 2

Fortnite Developers have responded to rumors regarding IP bans on social media, which have left players worried.

As an online multiplayer game, Epic is known to take action against players who violate the rules in Fortnite. They made a cheater post an apology video after the permanent ban, but also in the past they sued a player who stole and sold accounts.

The source of the rumors said that there are chances to get banned for logging into friends’ accounts, which will increase the chances of IP being fragged. Which in later could also be applied to their own accounts.

But later it was revealed that that was not true, according to the Epic, they stated that they don’t do ban waves based on the player’s IP addresses.

Instead of banning, they would disable accounts, which they believe have been compromised, just to protect the original owner, and they make sure the account is recovered.

The full statement from Epic sayed that anyone can play Fortnite on different devices. We always recommend logging out on shared device to protect the account. And to clarif , theory dont do ban waves based on IP address. The just disable account if it is compromised and they try to recover the account to the original owner.
