FM26 launches on November 4, 2025, worldwide for PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S/
The Touch version, which will arrive on Nintendo Switch on December 4, 2025, while the mobile version is expected via Netflix. The Standard edition has been priced at $59.99.
Why was FM25 scrapped?
FM25 was also cancelled earlier in 2025 after multiple delays and missed quality targets. Sports Interactive redundant pre-order and admitted the release, which would make us look stupid. The setback cleared the way for FM26 to rebuild momentum and reestablish trust with fans.
New engine and visual
FM26 runs on the Unity engine, bringing improved player animations, more dynamic Match Day presentation and the most immersive look the series has ever had. The first trailer, Match Day First Look, gave fans a glimpse of the upgraded graphics and movement.
UI & gameplay updates
The total UI overhaul removes spreadsheet-heavy clutter. Modular titles and cards replace the traditional sidebar, while the player reports are more intuitive and searchable, making the squad management quicker.
Feature & expectations
The official tagline is Deeper immersion. Fluid football, Pure Drama. Confirmed features include the Premier League License.
Expected additions are also those planned for FM25, such as women’s football and expanded career options, as the tweaks focus on immersion from scouting improvements to match analysis and team talks.
