Techland the developer of the game Dying Light has now announced the cancellation of the next new upcoming, unspecified projects. The announcement come during the time of struggle for the company, the reported record multi-,illion dollar losses in the 2023 and 2024. The news has said that the some fans reeling, as they are wary of what will happen with the studio future titles.
Looking at the report by Insider Gaming, the developer sent the press release to media outlets stating the two of the upcoming games which had been canceled, they did not confirm which title was affected. Insider Gaming reported that one of the projects was known as internally as Project Cornerstone and would which have been fantasy action games inspired as Star Wars.

In the announcement of the cancellation news, Techland released that the further statement to Insider Gaming, clarifying the motivation and addressing the widespread concern among the members of the gaming audience.
Techland stated that Game development is never straight line, and some fresh approaches aer necessary to make great games. The important is that none of the reported changes have resulted in the staff reducitions. The developer were moved to other projects and were working on the number of games in our pipeline. The primary focus now is to release Dying Light: The Beast for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Techland founder and CEO Pawel Marchewka said that the deal would allow them to move at full speed ahead with the execution of the vision for the game.
