Despite having many small development teams of just t few, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has been released to overwhelming critical praise and has become one of the top-rated games of all time.
French Studio Sandfall Interactive released their game, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on April 24, 2025 there was all the hype from the preview itself, we can say people were too sure about how this game is going to be soo good when released.
This is SandFalls first game and they have relatively unknown studio trying to compete with the AAA titles with some small developers.

Sandfall Interactive is being stacked with the former Ubisoft talent, with CEO and Creative Director Guillaume Broche working on Might & Magic being the narrative lead and working hard for Ghost Recon Breakpoint just before starting his own studio.
After these he is has also brought some other Ubisoft alum with him, the core developers team are made up for 33 people.
There is a new thing too where a dog is named Monoco is also listed as the happiness manager. And yes we can say he works hard too.
Sandfall has their own favorite game listed, so there are many easy were the inspiration for the RPG comes with, Broche has his top 2 favorite games listed as Persona 3 and Devil May Cry, and Expedition 33 combat feels like a rush to turn based and do or die the elements.
Direction of the game has been loved by many players, with Expedition 33 released as one of the highest rated games for all the time and 2025 best game was Metacrirtic.
They even expressed there feeling by saying they are top reviewed game on Metacritic for 2025 which made them speechless.
Looking at the score there are the 159th best game of all time in terms of the Metracritic aggregate scoring. As we can see there are soo many video games out there, which is not so bad for the first outing. Well the game is couple hours ling, there are chance more reviews which could come in the boost with the score even higher.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has just come out, and we can say this game is going to make people excited and can be a competitor for the other AAA titles.
