A Leak revealed that an iconic Zombies game mode is making a comeback after five years.
The title is set to be featured in several maps from the original series alongside new maps. They also suggested that the popular Pick 10 create a class system, round-based zombies and an open-world campaign.
Dead Ops Arcade reportedly making comeback in COD 2025
Call of Duty leaker Reality revealed that they had found codename ztron in the game file, which was referred to as the Dead Ops Arcade game.
Dead Ops Arcade was first introduced in the hidden game mode in Black Ops. Players were had access to a computer on the menu screen and typed in a code to access the twin stick top down shooter.
Players had to survive as many rounds as possible against challenging waves of zombies. The mode was far more forgiving than traditional Zombies because players had ultimate ammo and also could pick up many new weapons and power ups.
The developers were in a hidden mode, including various levels, weapons, enemy types, hazards, vehicles, and power-ups to discover. Dead Ops Arcade was a cult classic, and Treyarch went on to release a sequel in for Black Ops 3 in 2015 and another iteration, Black Ops Cold War, in 2020.
The new Game mode went above and beyond and has expanded upon the original experience. It is unclear what another series will look like, as soon as it arrives, we will be the one to address it until then, chill out and enjoy the current season.
