Call of Duty 2025 to Cost Almost $100, Microsoft Hikes Game Prices

Microsoft recently announced which it will be increasing the price tag on the selected first-party titles to $80 in 2025. Call of Duty is one of the highest profile games from Microsoft, well, it is safe to say they will be on the list.

There are many rumors for the prices increased for years now, with the publisher pushing the base price of AAA games from the $60 to $70 over the course of the console generation. Well for now we are seing the price increase on games and consoles.

PlayStation already went up the cost of the % console in select regions, Xbox systems are confirmed to be receiving the big price increase in the U.S. Nintendo is pricing games on the Switch 2, and now the Xbox games will get more expensive soon.

Black Ops 7, which is rumoured to be the next upcoming release in 2025, with Treyarch, who is going back and continuing the series. The Leaks palace is set to be in 2035, where the Black Ops 2 storyline was left off. Looking at the Xbox, it is set that the first Call of Duty game, which costs $80 on release.

As it is, the third-party Xbox titles will be set to be the publisher’s discretion as to whether or not they will be $80 on release, as the first-party releases from Microsoft will be getting bumped to the heightened price.

Well looking at the adjustment made to increase the cost of Xbox peripherals and consoles, as the one which will affect big release across all the consoles. It is safe to say that people need ot expect price increase not only on Xbox but also on PC as well as Steam and Switch 2.

For now Black Ops 6 price is still same. It is not clear if the Microsoft plans to be retroactively apply this change to the other titles they have put out the $7- price tag like Indiana Jones and The Great Circele or any of the recent, high-profile releases.
