Battlefield 6 developers have said that they want to humanise the aim assist with the new game, and it is also going to be very light for controller players. Aim assist, which has Kong which has been the point of contention for fans of shooter games. There are some professional players who have claimed that using a controller versus keyboard and mouse is akin to being a soft aimbot; there are others who want aim assist to be done away with the especially in Call of Duty.
Battlefield 6, which has already joined the conversation, is seeing the public beta period, which has been and gone. The game will also have plenty of crossplay between the console and PC. There won’t be console-only crossplay after all.
The developer has also looked to level the playing field between the controller and keyboard and mouse with the user and their Quick Turn setting. It will also control the player to quickly flick 180 degrees, and it is also drawn comparisons to aimbotting.

Battlefield Studios Designer Matthew Nickerson said that they have a fair, competitive and balanced approach, and they call it Aim Assist 2.0. It is an evolution of what we had in 2042. They are talking with their real-time render now. We have moved away from the squares, boxes and spheres to the capsule oriented with the meshes for the aim assist. We have already upped the level of consistency and performance across the board.
They also said that they are going very light with the aim assist; they are not adding the rotational aim assist. We have actually removed Snap Zoom, which was in 2042, as they believed it was too mechanical-heavy.
Nickerson also added that they want the player to feel good about the achievements in-game, with the feeling that some system or code did the heavy lifting.
