Meta analysis
In Season 5, the CR-56 AMAX is the best Assault Rifle in the meta, and the mid-season update did not change. It also has a rapid TTK without being too difficult to use, which makes it a brilliant option. The FFAR 1 comes to close behind thanks to even the time kill, and the XM4 comes in third as the perfect jack of all trades option.
The AS VAL and AK-74 hit hard and also suffer in other key areas. The AK packs more than the Puchh after the buff in Season 5 Reloaded; both are competitive but also well-rounded enough to be meta. The Cypher 091 and GPR 91 are let down by the lacklustre damage profiles, which leave them put more often than that.
