The new Nintendo Switch 2 was released to the world on January 16, 2025. After the release the people started to find a few problems in the device.
After waiting for so long, Nintendo showcased their Switch 2. They just showed the looks of the console and just a few details about it, like how the new Joy-Cons are well designed and have exciting features that could change the upcoming gaming experience.
With all the new detail, they also showcased how the new device will be having backward compatibility; after hearing this, we can be able to play games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
In the trailer they just showed how the device looks and about the Joy-Cons; in the last of the video they said the next details will be shown on April 2. After having few details, players around the world have spotted few things that could create few problems in the console.

Fans worried about the design
After the reveal of the design, there had been few doubts about the build quality. The major questions were around the Joy-Cons. During the trailer, Nintendo showed how the controllers are attached and detached.
While in the current Switch we have to slide the Joy-Cons, while in the new Switch 2 they have created the Joy-cons in the old-fashioned way, like a plug-and-play system
After looking at the new Joy-Cons, players are very concerned about the build quality of the connectors. The doubts are about how the Joy-Cons could break or disconnect while handling them in a hard way. And due to new looks, they also have doubts about whether the controller will be wireless.
A few posts on Twitter have gone viral, where fans expressed their fears about how the Switch 2 Joy-Cons connector could snap if by mistake force is applied. After looking at this, there were also a few comments that said the Joy-Cons are robust and it won’t break so easily.
To be honest, there are questions and answers from both sides. Well, Nintendo is also known for their build quality; just due to the new update, there are just these concerns. All we can do is hope for the upcoming update. Let’s wait for Nintendo to react, or we can wait till the next details trailer, which will be coming on April 2.
