EA Just Secretly Revived FIFA 23 with a Surprise Ultimate Team up

EA brought FIFA 23 back to life with a surprise update that encourages fans to check back in and relive some memories, rather than discontinuing online services like it has done for previous games.

The exciting run of new content for EA FC 25 is currently underway. To shake up the existing meta, the Winter Wild Card promo provided a tonne of new cards to several teams. The eagerly anticipated Team of the Year cards will be made public shortly.

But support usually ends when a new title is released. Online servers for long-forgotten games have been taken down by EA in the past. For instance, in November, the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions of Battlefield 3, 4, and Hardline were pulled down.

In the meantime, FIFA 23 was taken down from EA Play, and FIFA 22 was shut down. However, EA pushed an update to FIFA 23 inexplicably, leaving gamers to wonder why, even after EA Play was removed.

Strong, active players are maintained in FIFA 23 years following the publication

According to Riggers, the content provider for EA FC, EA has included a new goal in FIFA 23 that requires players to list one card in order to earn 30,000 XP for the season.

Riggers conjectured that there are still enough players to justify the upgrade, given that the transfer market has 30,000 things posted. Additionally, it is evident that EA wants to keep the game alive for as long as possible because the aim requires one player to be placed on the market.

Although it’s unclear why gamers have remained engaged in FIFA 23, EA has taken note and given them rewards for doing so.

Perhaps explaining the steady interest, one player claimed that it was “one of the best FIFAs of recent years in all honesty.”

Another user noted, “It’s a much better game.”

FIFA 23 is an uncommon exception to the rule that most shelved EA games never see the light of day again.
