Miyoto shared very good, fascinating insight about a few fascinating features of the Super Mario games. Pipes have been a major part of the Mario series. Mario uses these pipes for travel purposes.
Pipes are a staple of the series; at some point, Shigeru Miyamoto was figuring out the mechanics of the game. After a while, he revealed that he was working on Mario Bros., where he had to figure out the way for enemies to move from the bottom of the screen.
As we know, in 2D games, the bottom character needs some way to travel from the bottom of the screen to the top. While figuring out different types of ways, one day while Miyamoto was travelling in the streets of Kyoto, he saw plastic pipes sticking out of a wall.
After looking at the pipes, he decided to add pipes to the game.
The old Mario is an arcade game. The game has aged pretty well, as have the other games in the franchise. Old but not old yet for the people who have not tried the game yet, we can say you guys still have a chance to experience the Mario world. The game is worth trying on the Nintendo Switch or through any other arcade archives series.
