Fortnite Announces New Skins for Cyberpunk 2077 Coming Soon

In the latest teaser, Fortnite confirmed that Johnny Silverhand and V from Cyberpunk 2077 will make their way to the island soon. Cyberpunk 2077 is a popular RPG video game released in 2020. Nearly three years on, CD Projekt Red continuously improved the game during its cycle, releasing its award-winning DLC Phantom Liberty in 2023. Although some speculate that the game could be in collaboration with Fortnite, this is the first time that any official announcement has arrived for the fans.

Epic Games has just rolled out this year’s Winterfest within Fortnite. Players will be able to log in every day of the 14-day celebration to receive free rewards. During the holiday period, Fortnite is giving away two skins for free, one being Snoop Dogg in holiday attire sitting by a fireplace during wintertime. The crossover between Fortnite and Snoop Dogg was initiated back in November and has proven to be one of many other recent crossover ventures.

Cyberpunk

Fortnite recently put out a teaser on Twitter showing off new skins of Cyberpunk 2077’s V and Johnny Silverhand in the popular battle royale. Those content creators given early access by Epic Games said that the skins are due for release on December 23 as Fortnite’s item shop resets. Along with the skins, players can expect more things such as harvesters, backblings, a wrap, and a new vehicle. While the design of the iconic characters seems to thrill many fans, that is good news for Epic Games. In contrast to the recent collab, some fans were upset about the appearance of Beyond the Spider-Verse’s Peter B. Parker in Fortnite.

Fortnite Will Get Cyberpunk 2077 Cosmetics on December 23

  • Outfit – V
  • Outfit – Johnny Silverhand
  • Backbling – Flathead
  • Backbling – Johnny’s Duffel Bag
  • Harvester – Mantis Blades
  • Harvester – Silverhand’s Katana
  • Wrap – Night City Lights
  • Vehicle – Quadra Turbo-R

While the reception for cosmetics is generally positive, some fans are particularly yearning for Mantis Blades, V’s harvester. Characters equipped with this harvester will have it worn as an accessory on their wrists. In the case of V, however, the Mantis Blades are equipped to pop out of the arm, much like they do in Cyberpunk 2077. During the holiday season, many players have seen a surge in collaborations, since Fortnite has also recently had crossovers with Skibidi Toilet and DC Comics.

In a surprising twist, Winterfest expects to release skins after collaborations between Fortnite and Mariah Carey. The chunk of ice appeared after the last update to the battle royale map. After the ice melted, players heard Mariah singing her classic song “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” The iconic singer released two skins in a host of other cosmetics. With the collaboration and special events practically every week these days, fans of Fortnite are quite excited about the game itself and its journey into 2025.
