Battlefront 2 made the comeback, eight years from the release date, EAshooter is once again the best selling game, becoming the 12th hogest grossing title in the America all through the May.
The critically acclaimed Andor Season 2 drew to the close back in the May, it left portion of the Star Wars community wanting more as thousands returned to Star Wars Battlefront 2 to the immerse in the action.
The rebellion was only beginning, the game reached just shy of 8,000 concurrent players on Steam. That was not long Battlefront 2 made the real splash by May 24, it sored past it the previous all timeplayer record, and on the June 22, it was the another peak as the 35,892 concurrents jumped in on PC alone.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 become the best seller yet again
Looking at Circana data obtained by IGN, Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was the 12th best selling game in the United States through May, 2025. It was all the way down as the 135th best selling title in April, 2025.
We do not have specific sales figures the place it ahead of the new releases like EA own F1 25, the debuted on the charts as the 15th best seller in May.
The especially significant as the data pertains to the pure dollar salesm, Battlefront 2 which been heavily discounted throughout the resurgence, as compared to the full price new releases, it also makes the feat all more impressive.
Circana data for the month of May obviously do not paint the full picture of the game comeback. The Star Wars shooter reached the 21st spot on Steam best seller list at the tail end of June amid the peak popularity on the platform.
The Battlefront 2 still holds the spot on the first page of the best sellers across both PlayStation and Xbox storefronts. The maintaining player count north of 20,00- concurrent per day on Steam, it is clear many are sticking with the game amid the big return.
