GTA 6 Online targeting 96 players and won’t have loading screens for activities

Rockstar Games is reportedly deep into the development on GTA 6 multiplayer mode, and it will be the biggest evolution of the GTA Online to date. GTA 6 is slated to the release on the May, 26,2026. The only info we have received from the Rockstar Games has been the game story and characters.

The leaked development footage and the screenshots  and have given us some hints in regards to what we can expect to the gameplay wise, Rockstar has remained mum about the next version of GTA online.

Looking at the report from French reporter Fravilys, the next iteration of GTA online, codenamed GTA6 MP, is already in an advanced stage of development and will launch with support to 64 players per session.

The notable jump from the current GTA Online, which launched in 2013 with 16 players lobbies and eventually expanded to the 30 on the next platforms. The new version reportedly features as a revamped network system called Fluid Access, designed to eliminated the disconnect between sessions and allow players to seamlessly engage in multiplayer activities without the loading screens or invite menus.

As always the development plans may shift, but looking at the Rockstar is aiming to make GTA 6 Online the most seamless and ambitious multiplayer experience  in the franchise history.
