Well as you progress in game through each Expedition, Limveld becomes progresiively corrupted. Camps you have visited numerous times previously will contain different enemies.
The shifting Earth event come in numerous varieties, appears randomly and yield rewards borderline mandatory for victory.
On the late game Nightlord, Caligo, become an insurmountable wall for my group until we have discover The Mountaintop, as a massive, frigid winter wonderland spontaneously sprouting in the north of Limveld. nNavigating the treacherous peaks and defeating the boss grasnted us the immunity of Frostbite, reducing Caligo into far lesser threat.
Verdict
The Elden Ring has set the bar high which we can expect from an open world RPg game, Nightreign delivers a fantastic accompaniment to FormSoftware core portfolio. It is unafraid to turn the established Souls formula on the head and ask if it can mesh well with the others genres.
The answer is a resounding yes, Nightreign wont be for everyone. The series veterans fans with no interest in multiplayer, it has hard sell. Solo play is an officially supported mode, but i feels like a thought.
Played with the intended group size, Nightreign is an irresistible co-op experience with the far more depth than i expected.
