The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy has a huge fan base and now it is going to get an improvement to the magical ARPG, with the enhancements to the graphics, audio, load times and many more. Hogwarts Legacy was released on Switch back in November 2023, the port was not an optimal way to play.
Looking at the Xbox, PlayStation and on PC the performance and gaming experience was way to good as the hardware is better too as on Siwtch it had more loading screens, muddier textures, and lower framrate.
On May 13,2025, the Warner Bros, Game released gameplay of Video of Hogwarts Legacy running on Switch 2. Not just having gaming visuals and also improved the overall performance which is looking good on Nintendo new console.
Switch 2 gets a big upgrades on Hogwarts Legacy
The most frustrating part of this Hogwarts Legacy Switch port which was a loading times, with the worst offender being the Hogsmeade. The players ventured into the village or also walked into the shop which the had enter on a loading screen.
As the highlight in the comparison vido, the Switch 2 version featuring the transition to the area, mirroring the Xbox Series and PS5 ports. cWarner Bros been excited to show th imrpioved graphicsm with the Swithch 2 drastivcally improving both resolution and texture.
Environments and the characters has no longer look of the super blurry, there are now enhancements to the lighting and shadows. To be notice there are notable shown in the combat, where there are spells which are more vibrant and light reflects off the water which surrounds the Castle
The official Nintendo website has listed that the Hogwarts Legacy will be include with the Joy Con 2 mouse sensor support. Which means the player can use the Joy-Con motions to cast spells. Well not quite sure about that till now.
Hogwarts Legacy owners on Switch can purchase the Switch 2 with just an upgrade of $10 via the eshop, while the Digital Standard Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition cost around the $59.99/$69.99.
