Kingambit, long awaited, has finally taken place during the Pokémon Go Crown Clash event, featuring Nidoking and Nidoqueen, and plenty of surprises.
The Paldean Pokedex is reduced in the Niantic mobile game, with less than half of them available. There are more joining the ranks, as the Kingambit will finally be introduced during the event focused on the Big Blade Pokémon.
Well, it is pre-stages from the Unova region, Pawniard and Bisharp, which have been part of Pokemon Go since 2020. The most unexpected was the event focused on Dark/Steel-type samurai.
Crown Clash Event: Date and Time
The Pokémon Go Crown Clash event will run from May 10, 2025 and will go to May 18, 2025.
Which means players who have eight days to gather enough Candy to evolve Pawniard into Bisharp and finally into the final stage.
Just a reminder that evolving Pawniard into Bisharp will need 50 Candy. To have Kingambi, you need to get 100 Candy and defeat 15 Dark ot Steel-type Pokémon Raid battles, who will have Bisharp as the Buddy.
Pokemon Debuts
The event will be focused on Kingambit’s debut. The Big Blade is also not coming alone; the two new costumed creatures who will appear are:
- Nidoqueen with crown
- Nidoking with a crown
Wild Encounter
This creature will spawn more often in the wild during the Crown Clash event days:
- Slakoth
- Piplup
- Combee
- Snivy
- Litleo
- Pawniard
Raids
1-Star Raids
- Sneasel
- Klink
- Pawniard
3-Star Raids
- Nidoqueen wearing a crown
- Nidoking is wearing a crown
Event Bonus
The bonus trainers will be able to enjoy the Crown Clash event:
- 2x XP for the evolving Pokémon.
- More chances to get Shiny Nidoqueen wearing a crown, Shiny Nidoking wearing a crown, Shiny Slowpoke, Shiny Combee and Shiny Litleo.
- Catching Slowpoke also award a King Rock.
Field Research task rewards
This one will be available during the Kingambit celebration. Players can complete them with some useful rewards, which also encounter the event-themed Pokémon.

Track Pokemon
A reminder to release the Pokémon Alert feature to go after Pawniard and gather all the Candy you need to evolve it all the way into Kingambit.
These features will help you enable players to track a specific creature in the wild just by sending a mana alert when they are near.
