A new Giantamax mon is ready to make the Pokemon Go debut, and it is none other than the beloved Gigantamax Snorlax. Below are the details information on this event.
The last Giganyamax Pokemon “Kingler” was added to Niantic game, since the February it was Hoopa Unbound who had the own celebratory day.
Now there is a new creature coming to Pokemon Go, and it is said to be gluttonoud mon from the Kanto region, Snorlax.
Giantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day: Date & Time
The Gigantamax Snorlax Max Battle Day will be taking place on Saturday, April 19, 2025.
Looking at the event is short, trainers should have enough time to challenge, defeat and capture Gigantamax Snorlax, even though they need to team up with the other players to successfully do so.
Giganyamax Snorlax Debut
Gigantamax Snorlax will get 6 Star Max Battles and lucky players who challenge the sleeper multiple times and can increase the chances of finding a Shiny Gigantamax Snorlax.
After defeating Gigantamax Snorlax, Trainers will have the opportunity to try and catch the regular Snorlax with the Gigantamax ability.
Event Bonuses
There few things like bonuses which will be active during the three hours event:
- Max Particle collection limit will increase to 1,600
- All Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles
- Power Spots will refresh frequently
- x8 Max Particles from Power Spots
- x2 additional Special Trades
There are other two bonuses which are active on the very same day
- x2 Max Particles from exploring.
- 1/4 adventuring distance will receive Max Particles
Timed Research
The leading event, a Timed Research which will be available to all the players from April 16, 2025 and it will be free for all and it will last long till April 19,2025.

- Max Particle collection limit increased to 5,600.
The paid Timed Research will be effective only during the three hours the event lasts.
