Death Standing 2 was revealed at The Game Awards 2022 and Kojima Productions have been working on it ever since.
The Game Award 2022 was packed with many titles and announcement and fans got the first look at the plenty of the huge games which were set to dominate the zeitgeist.
Looking at the biggest surprises was the Death Stranding 2, the Hideo Kojima apocalyptic 2019 PlayStation exclusive title. Porters around the globe are eager to see where the Sam Bridges story takes him next.
Death Stranding 2 Release date.
The Death Stranding 2 will be launching on PS5 on June 26, 2025. Kojima revealed it during the SXSW. Pre-orders will be available from March 17.

Death Stranding 2 was set to launch as an exclusive on PS5. the first installment was so popular as a Sony exclusive. We can say no need to get surprised that Kojimo is taking it down on the new hardware, but it is a problem to the PS4 console one as they will be missing this one out.
Death Stranding Director eventually made the way towards Xbox Series X/S as well. Fans are expecting it to be as Microsoft system at launch. There are many channced it will come down the line.
The original one was available to PC after a year and then later to Mac/IOS devices in 2024, so there is possibility that Death Standing 2 will also follow the same path.
Death Stranding 2 Gameplay
Looking at the gameplay, we can say Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has the combat and traversal mirror of the original one, though we can say this one is going to be better.
There will be a lot of walking and climbing, and we will have many more adventures and different environments than the first game. There are also weather changes with the shift for the sequel, with the flash floods, landslides, and other which makes the environment more realistic and lively.
While just little things have been revealed about the combat, we have seen the introduction of a new type of robotics enemy, which will skates things up compared to the original one.
New Photo Mode Feature
Kojima is also known for pushing the boundaries and looking at the Death Stranding 2, it is said that the developers are looking to once again reinvent the things with the photo mode.
In the Tokyo Games show, people trewatedb the new look of Death Stranding 2, the new photo mode was the biggest takeaway. Where the photo mode freezes the time. Which allows the player to grab a quick pick of the lush environment.
The Death Stranding 2:On the Beach will be taking multiple steps forward, where the in-game photo mode, which allows players to take Polaroid pics of the character sticking funny poses and also smiling for the cameras.
Here you can zoom in and out the frames, pick a perfect snap and also even overexposed as you want.

Kojima Production is not stopping from keeping the players at the edge , they released multiple trailers for both cinematic and gameplay focused just show the fans what they can expect from the game.
