Finally, the Esport World Cup will be back again in 2025. This brings dozens of esports communities together to compete for millions of dollars across multiple tournaments. Below are all the details we know about the Esports World Cup.
Last year, 2024, was the first time the official esports World Cup was hosted in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Over $60 million in prize pools was handed out across multiple different esports titles. All the way from FCG to FPS and even MOBAs to sports games, every major game was represented there.
In 2025, we can expect much bigger things than before, the Esports World Cup is set to take throughout the whole summer. Below are the details of the event that have been announced so far.
Games Titles
Honor of Kings
Honor of Kings, which is a Chinese multiplayer Online Battle Arena game this one was announced as second in the Esports World Cup 2025. This game was published by Tencent Games in the year 201,5, and this is a mobile game that is available on both Android and IOS. This game is a 5v5 structure and also includes heroes from classes such as Mage, MArksman and so on.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Call of Duty League)
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 was the first Ttile which was announced in the year 2025. Black Ops 6 is the newest game among all the other titles. This one is a fast-paced FPP shooter game that is available on PlayStation, Xbox, and also on, This game ins story mode and multiplayer for those who love competitive gameplay.
Call of Duty: Warzone
Call of Duty: Warzone, this one is the second Call of Duty title in the Esports World Cup. Activision is the publisher of this game in 2020. This is also a FPP shooter game. Call of Duty: Warzone has Battle Royal and Plunder modes. Players can play in many modes like solo, duo, trio and even quads.
Free Fire
Free is the second mobile game to be announced in the Esport World Cup. This is also a shooter game published by Singaporean company Garena International, and this game is available for both Android and IOS. This game is similar to Fortnite, but in a mobile version, this game has a lot of fans all over the world.
Street Fighter 6
Street Fighter 6 was produced by Capcom and was released in the year 2023. The Street Fighter franchise is one of the most famous and has had a larger fan base all over the world since 1987. This is a multiplayer game, and it is available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
DOTA 2
Dota 2 is the second MOBA title game announced in the Esport World Cup. This game is based on the Defence of the Ancients mod of World of Warcraft. The Dota 2 community have been on over for a decade, and this game was released back in the year 2013. This is a 5v5 game where players have to compete in a land arena to darm resources and destroy the enemy team.
Rainbow Six Siege
The famous Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege is an FPP shooter game. Here in this game, players battle in several modes for objective control, hostage rescue, bomb plant and even defuse. This is similar to CS2 but with an intense environment where even players can shoot through walls.
Counter-Strike 2
Counter-Strike 2 is another FPP shooter game in the Esports World Cup. This game was developed by Valve. This game was announced back in the year 2023. This game is available for PC CS2 and has a large fan base compared to any other game, as it follows the footsteps of other Counter-Strike games.
PUBG Mobile
PUBG Mobile is another mobile title game, which is a Battle Royal where each team has four players, and they clash against 16 teams to survive till the end. This game was co-developed by LightSpeed & Quantum Studio and PUBG Studios. This game was released in the year 2018.
Apex Legends
Apex Legends is a fast-paced Battle Royal shooter game. This game was developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts this game is a science fiction universe. This is a free-to-play game you can play it on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. This game was released in the year 2019.
EA Sports FC
EA Sports FC is a football video game which was developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and published by EA Sports. The last FC 24 was launched on 29 September 2024. This game is the successor to the former FIFA series.
Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 is also an FPP shooter game. This game was produced by Blizzard Entertainment. This game is the sequel and replacement of Overwatch; this is a free-to-play game that is available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is a mobile multiplayer battle arena game, this game was developed by Moonton, a subsidiary of ByteDance. This game was released back in the year 2016

Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game. This one is like football, but you use vehicles to score a goal. This game was developed by Psyonix. This is a sequel of Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Car. This game features a total of 8 players on each side, and the team to score the highest number of points wins.
Rennsport
Rennsport is a racing video game. This game was developed by a Munich-based studio and Polish video game developers on June 6 2023, this game publisher announced the game for closed beta and later released it.

Chess, being one the best games in the whole world now, is in Esports as well. Let’s hope to find one of the best players around the world to compete against each other.
PUBG
PUBG is a free-to-play Battle Royal game; this one can be played as TPP or FPP as well. This game was developed by Karfton Pubg Studios. This game was inspired by the Japanese film Battle Royal. This game was released in the year 017 when 100 players were sent to an island to survive.
CrossFire
CrossFire is an online tactical FPP shooter game. This game was developed by Smilegate Entertainment for Microsoft Windows. It was released in the year 2007. This game features two mercenaries, the bblacklistand global risk, who fight against each other.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is a fighting game, and this one was developed by SNK. This game is the first entry ever since Fatal Fury in 26 years. This game is available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
League of Legends
League of Legends is a multiplayer online battle arena game. This game was developed by Riot Games. It was released in the year 2009. It is a free-to-play game and is available on the platform for PC.
Teamfight Tactics
Teamfight Tactics is an auto-battle game which was developed by Riot Games. This game is similar to LOL and is based on Dota Auto Chess, where players compete against seven other opponents by building a team to be the last one standing.
Valorant
Valorant is a FPP shooter game which is kind of similar to CS but in a modern way. This game was developed by Riot Games. This is a free-to-play game, and it is available on Xbox, PlayStation and PC. This is a 5v5 game where they compete against each other.
Dates & Schedule
The dates for the Esports World Cup have still not been announced.
Looking at all the details, only two major title dates have been relieved; one was Counter-Strike 2, which will be on August 20-24, and the other one is Chess, which will be on July 31-Augest 3.
Prize Pool
The prize pool has not been relieved by the Esports World Cup, but we can say it might get bigger than it was last time.
But Counter-Strike 2 has been announced; we know that it will have around $1.25m in prize pool, a little more than last year, which was around $1.05m.
The same goes with chess; this is the first year in the Esports World Cup, so they will have around a $1.5 million prize pool.
