After the release of a new loadout for Warzone Season 2 Reloaded, Raven Software had to reverse the decision back to the same as a wave of negative feedback emerged.
Looking forward to Season 2 Reload launching on February 20, the Warxone developers shared the complete patch note with the public.
In this, the main focus is primarily on the quality of life, such as fixing the Mountainer perk, balancing Weapon Trade Stations, reenabling Combat Records, etc.
Looking at the change, it kind of generated good attention, but also, there was a decision that no longer allowed players to use the same loadout drop after respawning.
Looking at this, the Warzone player immediately noted this design choice, forcing Raven Software to make a U-turn before the mid-season update goes live.
Season 2 Reloaded loadout drop changes reversed.
After all the feedback, Raven Software said “WE HEAR YOU” in the previously announced changes, which was limited to repeated loadout drop access after death has been removed from Season 2 Reloaded.
Just before all the new updates, the player had to return to their dropped weapons, purchase a new loadout, or even purchase their weapon from a BuyStation, as well as find a supply box since the reusing loadout drop could be possible.
Even the developers argued that one exploit they have observed, particularly in Resurgence, involves a small percentage of players repeatedly using a loadout drop, which is the duplicate of their weapon.
So late, this decision was made just to improve the visibility of skull icons so players could recapture their dropped loadout weapons or even take some advantage of the Weapon Trade Station instead.
But later, players were not interested in it, and they wanted to stay with the old ways. We can say load-outs have always been a controversial topic to discuss. Back in the year 2022, Warzone had removed them completely, but players complained about them too, so they had to add them back again.
