While there are things far from PS Plus going on, we have a new rumor that has claimed that PlayStation is about to reveal a collection of God of War games on PS5. In early October, there were rumors of a new God of War remastered collection. These leaks said this is being done just to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the God of War franchise. We can say PlayStation could release a collection of all the Greak games in series. Looking at the new PlayStation State of Play, it looks like the God of War series might really come on PS5.
Looking at some Reddit post from Feeling-Examination6, it says Playsation might be planning to unveil the OG Game series God of War at Tomorrow’s State of Play. Looking at the release details, it is said that it could be revealed sooner than we expect; it is claimed that the whole bundle might be released at some point in 2025.
If the leaks are real, we could say there are going to be 6 games in total. The games will be God of War, God of War 2, God of War 3, God of War: Chains of Olympus, and God of War: Ghost of Sparta and the last God of War: Ascension. In the past only God of War 3 was only remastered for PS3. Looking at these, we can say we could expect a large amount of graphical and performance improvement, which could be looking cool to play on PS5.
If the rumors of the remastered God of War are not true, it does not mean that nothing is associated with the franchise. In recent rumors from the reporter, Tom Henderson says that PlayStaton is working on a whole new God of War game that will be set in Greece and will be centered around younger Kartos. Henderson was quite careful with the information. Which means there are chances that this also might be true or accurate.
Looking at all the rumors and leaks, we can say it does not matter whether the information is true or not. The God of War franchise is going to be an idle game for a long time. God of War being the biggest first-party property, the publisher of the game will be finding new methods and ways to keep the God of War franchise in popularity. It has been around two years since the last release of God of War Ragnorok; this won’t be shocking if a new game is released that is titled with these series.
