40% Net Booking Drop for Apex Legends in 2025-26

EA has shared 40% reduction in net booking for Apex Legends in the financial year, which goeas from the April 1st, 2025 March 31st 2026.

Despite the decrease, EA is expecting stronger performance for the game in the first half of the year and remains for the committed investing for the ling term evolution of the franchise.

Later in press release detailing Q4 of the 2025 fiscal year, Ea explained for the net booking which are defined as the net amount of the products and service sold for the both digitally in the period. Well looking at the net booking we can see the calculated total net revenue to the change in deferred net revenue for the online enabled games.

Looking at the press release, which went into the details of Q1 fiscal year of 2026, ending on June 30th, 2025. EA said net booking would reach between $1.175 billion to $1.275 billion. Well, it was about getting growth in the live service titles, excluding Apex Legends, pretending an offset of nearly five points of headwind from the battle royal game.

EA stock has increased by 5%, looking at the Q4 2025 fiscal year report, but it had its fair share of challenges with regard to many titles. EA has remained confident in Apex Legends, expecting stronger performance from the game in the first half of the 2025/2026 fiscal year.

Apex Legends esports scene has been pff for a strong start, most of the notably with the Team Falcons victory in ALGS 2025. ALGS 2025 season 1 is around the corner, Apex Legends have still been every opportunity to succeed in the esports ecosystem.

In Esports Charts, Apex Legends has yet to top the 2023 peak, even though 2025 has been a success, where the peak viewership of 540,000 was during the ALGS  2024 Championship, one of nine tournaments held this year, and later it was offered a $2 million prize pool.

We could have seen the strong performance in 2024 with the views of 567,000 during the ALGS 2021 spilt 1 playoffs and also saw over $6.2 million offered across 103 different tournament.
